Survivor Story: Rickey
On Cell Phone While Connected to Powerline
I was on my cell it was charging. The lighting hit a tree, bounced off, hit the roof, went through the roof, hit cable cord, came inside house via cable cord, came up my cell phone power cord while I was talking. The cell phone blew up, knocking off the couch. The charge went threw my neck, chest and left arm, going out my elbow. I have swelling on my upper back, chest and neck.
Lessons to Learn: Being on the cell phone was NOT a problem. Being in contact with electricity from the cell phone charger IS a problem. Never be in direct contact with electricity during a thunderstorm.
